Read this lovely review from @Carraszt:

“I was lucky enough to be gifted this for Christmas, and I know it isn’t a book but it was such an inspiring and beautiful read, I’ve had to feature it. It’s about 5 riders: Tudor, Katherine, Callum, Rory and Elliot (words by Katherine Moore & images by Tudor Gillham) cycling from Manchester to Glasgow earlier this year.

Their journey is not one of speed, nor of breaking records. It is simply a documented experience. ‘Forthehellofit.cc’ published it, and that perfectly encapsulates the entire trip – it’s the kind of good old fashioned adventuring you wanted to do as a child, and imagined yourself doing all the time as a grown up but never got around to.

The photography in this is incredible though. I expected stunning vistas and artsy bike shots, but this was something else. Without a doubt it is a homage not only to the art of bikepacking, but to the natural world. The group take their time to appreciate their landscape – and there is nothing about dominating the natural world, or trying to change it. They are just there. Experiencing it.

It is cautious too though – Katherine and co. are acutely aware of raw ruggedness of the Manchester-Glasgow path, and the whole journey just speaks of gratitude for being offered the opportunity to cycle it. As is mentioned at the beginning – so few get the opportunity to cycle it, let alone complete it.

All profits go to great north air ambulance service and the mountain bothies association- two incredibly hard working charities who keep our people, environments and culture safe.”
