About

Cow nutritionist turned cycling industry creative (yes, really), I’m a bike nerd with a penchant for the rough stuff. Gravel, mountain biking and bikepacking are my cup(s) of tea, although I do mix it up by going back to my cycling roots on the road every now and then.

Although I’ve enjoyed sharing my cycling experiences on my site for a number of years, these days you’ll find my writing on other online cycling sites: check them out here

For a wealth of long distance bikepacking routes in the UK and beyond, head over to my komoot Collections.

I’m proudly mediocre in terms of cycling talent, as Immy summed up in my Cycling UK 100 Women In Cycling nomination:

“Katherine has changed the narrative about what cycling is all about – she is truly a role model for those who are average cyclists, just wanted to cycle and adventure about without breaking records.”

I’m always happy to chat, whether you’re looking for route advice, tips on working in the bike industry, looking to commission an article, event host or whatever – just drop me a line.
