Cotswolds Fosse Way 100km – Rapha Women’s 100, Off Road

I’ve taken part in the Rapha Women’s 100 for several years and always loved the way it brings people together. I’ve actually met a fair few friends in Bristol through it, so have always been happy to help put them on.

This year was time for something different, an off-road edition – naturally. 100km in a day off road is no easy feat though, so coming up with a route that was both exciting with some new territory yet not too overwhelming was a good challenge.

Heading North-East, we sought out the ancient Roman road, the Fosse Way – that links Exeter to Lincolnshire. Knowing there’s a fair bit of traffic free gravel up there, the gorgeous historic market town of Malmesbury and the Cotswold Way en route, I let Komoot do the rest and our 100km challenge was set.

I’d really recommend you check out this one – it’s a banger. If it’s a mix of gravel roads, farm tracks, quiet lanes, grassy bridleways and even some fun singletrack – all without too much climbing – that you’re after, this is for you.
